The CSRA gets hit with serious weather every year — Hurricane Helene was the most recent reminder, but we run heavy storm response every summer thunderstorm season and again whenever a winter ice event rolls through. Barrett's Tree Removal and Landscaping mobilizes within hours of any major event, working across Grovetown, Augusta, Evans, Martinez, and the surrounding counties to clear downed trees, broken limbs, and debris from yards, driveways, roads, and roofs.
We're not a storm chaser company that flies in after a disaster and disappears. We live here. We've cleaned up after the storms our customers remember, and we'll be here for the next one.

Our Process
- 01
Triage Call
Tell us what's down and what's at risk. We prioritize structures and access first.
- 02
Mobilize
Closest crew dispatched. During major events we run multiple crews until daylight.
- 03
Make Safe, Then Clean
Anything threatening structures comes down first. Then we work outward — yards, driveways, fences.
- 04
Haul Off
Brush chipped, logs hauled, lawn raked. We don't leave piles for the county to pick up.
- 05
Document
Photo log + line-itemed invoice for your homeowner's insurance claim.
What Damages CSRA Trees Most
Summer thunderstorms are the most common cause of CSRA tree damage — short, intense, often with 50–70 mph straight-line winds and saturated soil from the rain that comes first. Loblolly pines tip over, water oak laterals snap, sweetgum tops shear off. Tropical systems pushing inland from the coast — Helene, Michael, Irma in past years — bring sustained winds that hold for hours and produce the highest damage counts. Winter ice events are rarer but deadly: a quarter-inch of ice loads a mature pine with thousands of extra pounds, and they come down by the dozens.
We know what to expect from each event type and we stage equipment accordingly before the storm hits when we have warning.
Insurance Claim Help
After a storm, the insurance side is half the headache. We make it easier: we photograph before we touch anything, we itemize the invoice the way adjusters expect (tree-on-structure removal, debris hauling, tarping, and roof access broken out as separate lines), and we'll talk to your adjuster directly if you put us on the phone.
Save every receipt, take photos of everything you can yourself, and don't let anyone clean up before the adjuster sees the worst of it (unless safety demands it). That last part trips people up — adjusters can't pay claims based on a yard that's already raked clean.
Subdivision and HOA Storm Work
We handle HOA-wide cleanup contracts for several Columbia and Richmond County neighborhoods. After a major event, a single point of contact and one company across the subdivision saves boards weeks of coordination. We can mobilize crews to every common area, walking trail, and roadway, and provide a single itemized invoice for board approval.
